A Day in My Life is…

I know it has been 6 months since I put anything up, but I had a question.  Does anyone know if I can lock the site?  I want to be able to have it set up kinda like facebook and myspace with only certain people able to see my post.  I have some major stuff coming up in my life and some family members that just can’t get into the facebook craze.  I am also trying to write a book and would love to share some of it with some of you, but again not everyone.  If anyone has any idea’s let me know!

…I don’t have anything for Whiskers on Wednesday this week.  I know it has been forever since I have posted anything.  I just had to get in on the our tongues out!

I don’t have much to say….yes….that is odd for me.  Just wanted to share some pics I snapped this week of the tiny fur-children.

Phatboy likes to sleep on me.  I figure if he gets to weigh me down then I get to torture him with my scrunchies.  As you see, it did not even wake him up…I can’t win!

The last picture shows you the true spirit of my EVIL kitties!  They may seem sweet and innocent, but I know the truth and the camera never lies!

We were told a few weeks ago that laptops and cell phones are no longer going to be allowed in my office. We also are not allowed to get online. That, my friends, makes for a VERY long midnight shift. It has also caused me to miss Whiskers on Wednesday and Dogs on Thursday this week. On top of all of that I now find out I have to sign up and pay for Flickr Pro if I want to continue using it. It has a limit of 200 photo’s.

This is Jungle Kitty aka Fatboy.  I don’t know what his fascination is with fake plants.  I wonder if it brings out the beast in him?

I’m not sure if I have had Bear on my blog before.  He is a bomb k9 that is currently employed with the Va State Police.  He came over one morning to play tug a war with us!  He affectionately call him “Nubby” due to his rather short tail.

No matter how she looks, she DOES NOT enjoy the snow.  I want to get her some booties for this year.  J doesn’t think it is a good idea.  Think she will take to them after 8 years of being shoe free?

Work is still just “ok.”  The home life is good.  Nothing really new.

If you remember my little herb garden, J and I transferred them over to bigger pots and I was able to figure 3 out of the 7 out.  I also named them.  When I figure out what I am going to do about my picture hosting (any ideas?) I am going to try and start a new plant of some sort and do a day by day progression.  If I can really get dedicated I want to do a slide show, actually set up a camera on a tri pod and not move it.  take a picture everyday at the same time for an extended period of time.  We will see, I would have to take borrow one of J’s extra numerous camera’s.

I have one more square done for Mom’s blanket…

Sorry this was short and all over the place.  I’m tired and have discovered if I don’t blog regularly I forget what I did..seriously.  I think it is lack of any good sleep.

I had plans to right this morning and when I got in bed I remembered that I forgot. Sad I know. I have pictures uploaded and everything. I’m on my phone now…I’m gonna try to remember when I get up. Also excuse ny misspelled words. I type faster than my storm can keep up!

…I can’t be excited.  I have to work this weekend.

My mini garden is starting to look better.  Now 4 out of the 5 on the plate are poking though.  One of the two in the green house is still not producing.  I’m going to give it a few more days then maybe plant something new in it.  I know you really can’t see because I took them at night.  I think I am going to number the sides with PERMANENT marker and then take individual pictures.  Maybe someone can tell me what they are.  I have been smelling them to see if I could get an idea, but nothing yet.

I try to keep the dog photo’s for Thursday, but I thought these were cute.  I sat at that kitchen table for almost an hour trying to get a picture of Luke asleep, but the best I could get was halfway.  Then a breaze came along.  There must have been something smellin` good, it had both of their noses in the air for about 10 min.

Had a few thunderstorms come through yesturday.  Or so I have been told.  I slept like a baby in my “dungeon.”  Minature traffic pursuit at work tonight on the other side, so all I had to do was listen.  Nothing to write home about.  I’m coming in early tonight to get some overtime money.  12 hours for me tonight. Save me!

Wednesday morning was pretty uneventful at work.  Actually, it was down right boring.  The only good thing about midnights is that the troopers ring COFFEE!! I am not a regular coffee drinker, but when I need it, I need it!  And I needed it!

The ride home wasn’t to bad, but it was raining and just a general Icky feeling.

I can say I regret staying up so late.  I didn’t go to bed until almost 1 p.m.  I started editing video’s and lost track of time.  I did get some sleep, but that caused a VERY late dinner.  J was ok with it.  He had to cut the rass anyway…

I swear he was asleep when I saw him and he shouldn’t have been able to see me.  As soon as the camera came out he was awake…I can’t win!

It was bath time Monday afternoon.  It was so warm we had to take advantage!

Later that night they snuggled up next to the door before it was time to come in and head to bed.

You can’t see it, but that little turd has a stolen scrunchie under her left paw.  I don’t know what her deal is.  She will sit there and watch me take one out of my hair like it is her next fix and act like she is sitting on me, grab it and RUN!  That’s my little girl though.

I must have just opened the cabinet door, because that is the “where is my treat?” look.  I am very familiar with that one.

He was trying to talk me out of te turkey in my Quizno’s.  It worked…

I took his collar off of him to scratch him and he didn’t like that one bit.  I don’t know if he as mad I took it off or mad because he knew I was going to put it back on. 

This is usually what I find when I wake up in the dungeon.  I don’t let them in where i sleep during the day because I have to keep the door shut and don’t want to trap them in.  They also like to play with the computer wires and I am sure J would not appreciate having to come downstairs and fix everything.  I have a feeling Fatboy thinks one day he will be able to get the rest of him under the door.  I don’t see it happening.

They have been good kitties this weekend, but still no outdoor time.  If I can’t spend my time out there watching them I can’t risk them making a break for it.

…ha ha I made a bad joke.  Hmm atleast I can laugh at myself.  Is it sad that I have to look at the pictures that I uploaded to Flickr to remember what I did in the last few days?  It is bad, I know that.

On a recent trip to Target we found a little garden starter.  I have a chive, sweet pepper, sunflower and 2 oregano’s.  I have 2 more that came with little make shift green houses and I didn’t mark those so I have no clue what I planted in them.  I am sure they are some kind of spice.  We will see.  I’m going to take pictures every day and upload them as I can. If my memory is working (and it probably isn’t) this is at 3 days.  The 5 pots that are not in plastic are not doing as well and are really hard to keep moist.  If I go more than 12 hours without watering they are bone dry.  I don’t know if they are going to make it.  One of the lil guys is trying hard though, well, him and his lil brother to the right.  Again, I have no clue what they are.  I marked the bottom, but I wasn’t thinking (go figure) and the pen I used washed off when I watered them.

Nothing to exciting.  Bingo Monday was uneventful.  The ride back was interesting.  Ran over a deer carcass in the road and almost hit a low hanging branch.  Not to mention the heavy rain and puddles.

I’m gonna do something for Whiskers on Wednesday, I just didn’twant to have a huge integrated post…
